30/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)Responsible for collecting, processing, and testing patient specimens for the diagnosis and treatment of diseaseResponsibilitiesRole Specific Responsibilities o Observes safety and biohazard precautions.
o Performs patient testing in assigned areas of the laboratory.
o Performs and maintains QC and QA for all tests performed.
o Operates, troubleshoots and repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on equipment in their assigned section(s).
o Inventories and orders supplies in their assigned section(s).
o Cleans laboratory and equipment.
o Reviews procedures annually in technical sections as established in the Laboratory QA Plan.
o Orients new personnel and teaches trainees/students.
o Knows and performs the duties of the Laboratory/Pathology Representative, Phlebotomist and Technical Assistant.
o Works with other hospital staff and leadership to ensure that testing needs of all patients are being met at all times.
o Documents and discloses all analysis errors that occur.
Qualifications oEducation o Associate's of Applied Science degree in Medical Laboratory SciencesLicenses and Certification o Eligible to sit for MLT (ASCP) or equivalent o Must be certified within 6 months of hire#PIQresearchPandoLogic.
